Stephen Jackson

I had a friend recently ask me if I was selling this Stephen Jackson illustration I had worked on last season when he had served his 7 game suspension in the beginning of the 07-08 season. It was served as a "Welcome Back" sign upon his return. This is one of my personal favorite illustrations from the past, its simple yet striking. Since his arrival to Golden State, Stephen's been a stand out guy to our community and to his team mates. Now if we could get him to calm down on the technical fouls, everything would be lovely!

*Limited prints are available at 12x18

More Tim Lincecum

We're about 5 weeks away from Major League Baseball's opening day (April 6th) and to get the ball rolling, I'm setting it off with The San Francisco Giants very own Tim Lincecum. This is just a little something extra to ring in the upcoming season. I'll have a few more illustrations closer to opening day from other teams around the MLB. This summer time should be interesting, I'm gonna try and go to as many A's and Giants games as I can just to escape from reality. Baseball truly is America's favorite past time. Theres nothing more fun than an baseball game, ball park dog and a brew during the game!

Prints For Sale

It took me some time but I got em' printed out on some glossy prints!

I've wanted to sell my drawings for some time now. I looked into setting up an on-line store but it kind cost a lot of money and time to set. Both of which I don't have right now. So... I found a place here in Suisun that would print my work at an affordable price that I wanted to give back to you guys. I hated spots that charged too much for prints where I could barely make a little extra for me. Now that I've gotten the short print run made, these limited prints run at 11x14 glossy photo stock starting at $15. (I have 8x10 prints as well for $10.) I accept PayPal, cash or check and if you live in the Solano County area or around San Jose, I can make arrangements to meet with you guys so you can waive the $6.00 shipping fee. I'm not looking to get rich with this, LOL... I just wanna have prints available for folks who appreciate my work and of course, make a little extra dough on the side. More prints will be available in the future, if you see something in m work I'm not selling yet, those are available too. These are great for autograph signings, gifts or frame one in your office!

For more info, e-mail me at tonydotpsd@gmail.com and peep the on-line flyer. Thanks!

Warrior Kids / New Sign Format!

Monta Ellis... how can you not look? Big ups to my Homie Chris and his wonderful daughter for representing at this weeks Lakers match up. Kids and signs... a winning combination! So this is my new get up in sign formats... 11x14 which is similar to those "We Believe" signs the Warriors front office gave out 2 seasons ago. (or anything recent they've been giving out) The signs are full color, glossy photo stock prints. (hang it up after the game!) I'm not using foam backboards anymore (cutting costs) and with the current change, it's saving me a lot of money. The format is also small enough to not distract anybody behind me, my old signs were 24x35 and that was hard to stash during games! 11x14 seems small but folks can still notice it. What can I say, times are hard right now... We're still gonna rock signs at the games... just smaller! Rock one of my signs at the game!

Best Kept Secret... CJ Watson

This is long overdue... I can't believe out of all the good folks in our roster I haven't even draw CJ Watson?! Apologies for the disrespect, the kid is nice off the bench and can make the shot when it counts. (not a clutch player... not yet, lol) Before signing with the Warriors, CJ played for The Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League, averaging 26.4 points and 5.3 rebounds. The Dubz saw the talent, signed him and extended his contract throughout this season. So far he's been a pleasant surprise and a fan favorite. Big ups to Marcus Thompson over at Inside The Warriors for the art request. (I hope CJ likes it!)

*Update: CJ Watson is having a Live Chat with Warrior Fans on Friday, February 21st at 1:45pm. Come with your questions because he said he’s ready to give answers!

New Barack Obama "Defy-lon" Tee's!

Not you average Barack Obama shirt... fresh drips included! (courtesy of Halfrica!)

Awww Yea... The designs approved and is out to the printers. I've had the pleasure to work with the very good folks at Halfrica and DJ Air of 97.7 fm (Los Angeles) in creating fresh designs for mixed folks that come together and identify the beauty and experiences of mixed races and cultures. Their clothing line breathes passion for mixed ethnicities and culture in a confident, innovative, and positive way. We've been wanting to work with each other for the past year and it's finally come together.

The brain child behind this concept was from Air and Team Halfrica. It started with a friendly e-mail explaining "Halfrica is targeted towards people of multi race so with Obama being half black / half white, I feel I the need to put out something dope..." The concept was straight forward... since tons of folks have already done the same story, we wanted something fresh. The idea was to whip up some photoshop work, done to look like he's holding a spray can... from there on out I worked the idea and something was missing... (the bottom concept was conceived later) I went through hundreds of old school album covers trying to find inspiration than realized this... just about every Hip-Hop album from back in the days had that recognizable Parental Advisory logo, letting folks know... there were bad words in the album, lol. So I flipped it and used Air's concept "The First Black President" inside of the PA logo with Barack tagging "mixed" with all the fresh drips! From there on out, we just had fun with it and prepped it up for print.

I'm very grateful for crossing paths with Halfrica. Big ups to my very good friend: Art Chemist for plugging me to Air and giving me an opportunity to work with her and her fabulous team. This project was more than just making some extra dough to get by, it had me learning about a very special culture raising eyebrows.

Barack Bombs First

It's been a busy few weeks. Some personal things have been goin' on in my life and business is picking up trough this rough recession. For the past 2 weeks, a handful of my project have been on a hush. (or work in progress) Here's one quick sketch project I'd like to share with everyone. It's pretty straight forward: Barack Obama bombing a wall. (my main focal point) I was gonna put something simple like a tag that said "Obama was here..." but decided to google some Obama related street art and this caught my attention. I figure I'd throw Hillary some artistic love and compliment it with my President Obama work project. This was kind of like an illustrator work out I wanted to start with before I got down to the original project which will be coming real soon...

Thanks for Flying Air France

Damn, I actually miss this guy in our roster... than again, we're a pretty deep bench now with a gang of Guards in Golden State this season. Best of luck to Mickael Pietrus who's currently playing with The Magic, the kids doing his thing up in Orlando. He's an amusing stand up guy to the fans over here in the bay, I'm sure he's spreading the same joy in Florida. Thanks for diggin' the design Mickael!

Life's an All-Star Game: Crash It!

Taking it back to last years All-Star game... yep, all our starters were snubbed as usual.

Here's another oldie but goodie! Sorry folks for taking it back to a "Baron Davis-less" team, I just didn't wanna let this consume dust under my Hard drive! I have projects in the woodworks... problem is they're all pending and nothings final to post! Anyways, I know we're all ready for this years all-star game even if none of the Warriors were invited. For last years All-Star game, although our entire team was snubbed, I took it into my own hands and created this little image that had folks rollin' at the arena. It's true, Jackson and Baron should have crashed the All-Star game!

Busy, busy, busy on the DL

The Template: Veggie omelette over egg whites, hash browns and wheat toast (a Tony.psd classic!)

Sorry for the delay, I know some of the recent posts have been past projects, I just wanted to post them up and not leave them in the dust. (aka hardrive) I do have a number of projects in the works with Kingdom (2 in que), Halfrica (1 in progress), Warriors sports writer Marcus Thompson (2 in progress) and more events from Shiver Inc... As much as I'd like to show everyone the new stuff... I'm under contract and they're not completely finished. You gotta do, what you gotta do, to get the bills paid. I have some Warriors ideas all bottled up in my head and some random stuff like a new Iron Man drawing I want to get out, but bills come first.

Anyways... if you're in the Napa area, there's this hidden spot called the Boon Fly Cafe. (named for a Carneros pioneer who planted orchards and vineyards in the mid-1800s) They open early in the morning for great coffee, fresh juices and house-baked breakfast items - including our signature Boon Fly donuts. (that's why we go there LOL) Boon Fly is our special little get away. Check em' out!

Golden State's Fun Loving Beer

St. Warrior Girl... The beer's gotta taste good, it's brewed in Oakland! Parody project I had stored up. I remember flipping through an FHM magazine seeing a St. Pauli's Girl ad and pictured a Warrior Girl (Kelsey to be exact) rock the frosty mugs. It has the same elements of the St. Pauli's Girl ads with a few Golden State elements. Check out the original post with all the bells and whistles.

We'll always have "We Believe"

One of my first illustrations for the Warriors... and one of my favorite moments during the playoffs!

It feels good looking at this pic. The atmosphere and smell of victory, 2007 was a year many of us folks will never forget in the Bay Area. This is one of my early illustrations, I just dug it up (found it in my archive hard drive) and decided to recollect on some really good times at the Arena. Back when we made the playoffs, I didn't know what to expect. My wife and I were just glad to be there! After winning the series vs. Dallas, it just felt great! I'm really glad we were a part of it.

Meet Market

Meet Market was such a short lived weekly event in Sacramento (blame it on the venue) I actually miss it a lot. Some of the flyer idea's Mr. Pabros over at Kingdom came up with was hilarious. The logo itself was comedy. "Tony... can you do the Hooters logo, but with a cow..." it was hard for me to pass up the concept and not do it. Looking back at the good times, the folks over at Kingdom have ideas for days!
